Sebastien Loeb finished second on his debut in Macau in the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia event on Sunday.

The nine-time World Rally champion finished four seconds behind victor – and former New Zealand A1GP driver – Earl Bamber in wet conditions.

Loeb was contesting the event in a guest car, having raced in Porsche’s Supercup in Spain and Monaco earlier this year.

He will be back in Macau next season when he is part of Citroen’s new World Touring Car Championship project, alongside Yvan Muller.

In addition to winning the Macau race, Bamber was also announced as the winner of Porsche Motorsport International Cup Scholarship for 2014, giving him €200,000 towards a Supercup programme.
