GP3 champion Mitch Evans will drive for GP2 champion squad DAMS in this week’s test for the senior series at Jerez.
DAMS took Romain Grosjean and Davide Valsecchi to the last two GP2 titles, as well as winning the teams’ crown this year.
Evans will also have another GP2 day with his GP3 squad Arden, which ran him for his maiden GP2 outings in October’s Barcelona tests.
Experienced GP2 racers Marcus Ericsson, Stephane Richelmi and Rio Haryanto will also get DAMS try-outs at Jerez, while Auto GP champion Adrian Quaife-Hobbs is set for two days with Arden.
Other GP2 race-winners switching teams for the Jerez test include Johnny Cecotto Jr, who will have one day with Arden, and Jolyon Palmer, who will test for the ART-run Lotus team.
Racing Engineering will field Fabio Leimer, Nigel Melker and Rene Binder.
The test takes place on Thursday and Friday this week and is the final GP2 running of 2012.
