Armstrong 13th at final European KZ2 round

Kiwi kart ace Marcus Armstrong has finished 13th at the final round of the 2016 CIK-FIA European KZ Karting championship at Genk in Belgium.

The 15-year-old works Tony Kart driver from Christchurch got as high as seventh fastest in practice on Friday and qualified 14th. He finished the first heat race 14th and the second 12th before finishing the warm-up on Sunday morning and both the Pre-Final and Final in 13th position.

The round, and 2016 European KZ class title, were both won by Armstrong’s Tony Kart teammate Marco Ardigo.
