David Reynolds said he ‘”sprayed it” at the final corner on his last lap of Practice and felt as if he could have gone faster.
The Bottle-O Racer was quickest in the final practice session of the day at the Sucrogen Townsville 400 with a 1min13.1464 – though it is not the final practice session of the weekend, with P4 running tomorrow morning.
That may explain why so many of the top Championship runners featured outside the top 10.
Will Davison was the best placed of the front-runners in ninth in the session, while the Red Bull Racing Australia pairing of Jamie Whincup and Craig Lowndes were 15 and 19.
Following Reynolds in the top five were Scott McLaughlin – just 0.0455sec slower, James Courtney, and the Norton Hornets of James Moffat and Michael Caruso. The pair of Nissans topped an earlier practice session today.
Following P4 tomorrow – which begins at 9.10am EST and is being streamed live on V8 SuperView – is ARMOR ALL Qualifying, Top 10 Shootout and the first 200km, 70-lap race around the Reid Park street circuit.
