Sebastian Vettel has been summoned to a meeting with the stewards for completing donuts in front of the Indian Grand Prix crowd instead of heading to parc ferme.
Having secured his fourth successive world title with a dominant victory at the Buddh International Circuit, Vettel went on to conduct a series of donuts along the pit-straight, before climbing a trackside fence and throwing his gloves into the main grandstand.
With his actions officially a breach of the regulations, the German and Red Bull team member have been called up to the stewards’ office to explain the course of events.
Although action is possible, it is highly unlikely that Vettel will be given a penalty, with a fine or reprimand the most likely outcome given the title-winning circumstances.
