MotoGP reveals 25-bike entry for 2015

The International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) has published a provisional entry list for the 2015 MotoGP season, with the field set to expand from 23 riders to 25.

The majority of the grid had already been confirmed prior to the list being revealed ahead of this weekend’s Malaysian Grand Prix.

While the works Honda and Yamaha teams retain their line-ups, Andrea Iannone joins Andrea Dovizioso at Ducati and Cal Crutchlow switches to LCR Honda.

Suzuki and Aprilia return with two-rider factory entries; Suzuki has signed Aleix Espargaró and Maverick Viñales, while Aprilia – to be run by Gresini – will field Álvaro Bautista alongside a yet-to-be-confirmed rider.

Following success in the Moto2 class, Marc VDS Racing joins the fray with a factory specification Honda for Scott Redding.

The entry list also confirms that Avintia will continue with Héctor Barberá and Mike Di Meglio, both on Ducatis.

In addition to the vacancy at Gresini Aprilia, IodaRacing is yet to confirm its rider for 2015, after Danilo Petrucci was released to join Pramac.

Paul Bird Motorsport is the only team leaving the championship.
