The Mobil 1 New Zealand team return to Bathurst from 5-7 February 2016 to compete in Australia’s iconic international endurance race driving a Porsche 911 GT3 Cup S.

The three driver team from NZ is spearheaded this year by Chris van der Drift. Chris got the late call up to join the team in 2015 when four of the six drivers of last year’s two car team were injured in a road crash on the way to the track.

Chris is a world ranked single seater and GT driver and recently won the Asian Porsche Carrera Cup for 2015 before returning to live in New Zealand.

Scott O’Donnell returns for his seventh start at Bathurst, his best results to date being second in Class B in both 2011 and 2012 and third in 2013.

Allan Dippie looks to his fourth Bathurst 12 hour start with a best result to date of third in class B in both 2011 and 2012 .

The 2009 Porsche GT3 Cup S has been a loyal servant for the Dippie/O’Donnell team with a record of eleven finishes from eleven starts in endurance racing in New Zealand over the last three years.

The team are looking for a top three finish in Group B with the ultimate goal of class victory.

The Bathurst 12 Hour has grown in popularity over the past few years and this year features a full grid of outstanding GT3 race car marques as well as some of the best specialist endurance drivers from both Europe and Australia (www.bathurst12hour.com)
