On site in Bathurst and the 55 car grid is gathering around the Mountain ahead of the weekend’s action.

Whilst there have been some withdrawals from the originally 61 car grid the final grid is of the very highest quality, described by event PR Richard Craill as the best grid of drivers ever assembled for a race in Australia amongst others featuring drivers who have won some 450 V8 Supercars races and featuring at least one Bathurst 1000 winner from 2005 onwards, some 32 wins at the Bathurst 1000 scored across 11 drivers.

The record of the international drivers is barely less impressive with Le Mans winners, ex F1 drivers, current Le Mans and FIA WEC World Champ Marc Lieb and a legion of other Championship and major race winning talents

The 32 cars in the (GT3) Class A include no fewer than 31 that feature a Champion at State, National or International level, the 32nd includes a driver who has finished on a class podium in the Bathurst 12 Hour!

Final drivers to be announced were the confirmed two car Brookspeed Porsche Cayman GT4 line up and the addition of Glenn Seaton to the MARC Cars effort – the Aussie racing legend will share the #92 car with son Aaron.

Oliver Jarvis makes his Bentley debut here, the familiar Jarvis helmet, now with Bentley branding.

The grid features the usual array of good looking liveries.

The second Nissan Australia GT-R has appeared in a new yellow highlighted livery

And the Wall Racing GT-R is on site too

Beyond the Class A cars the little KTM X Bow features Tomas Enge on the driver line-up, the tam also have a spare car in the paddock.

Whilst the R-Motorsport Aston Martins (GT12 and GT4) are presented in an eye-catching flat grey livery.
