2014 TUDOR United SportsCar Championship Rolex 24 Hours Daytona

IMSA has released the entry list for next weekend’s TUDOR United SportsCar Championship season-opening Rolex 24 at Daytona, which will feature a total of 53 entries.

ENTRY LIST: Rolex 24 at Daytona

The opening round of the Tequila Patron North American Endurance Cup sees a 16-car field in the Prototype class, led by Corvette DP entries from Action Express Racing, Wayne Taylor Racing and VisitFlorida.com Racing.

A pair of Ford EcoBoost-powered Riley DPs will be fielded by Chip Ganassi Racing, while there are three BMW Dinan-powered Riley DPs on the grid for RG Racing, Fifty Plus Racing and Starworks Motorsport.

Six P2 cars are entered, with the Ligier JS P2 set for its first Rolex 24 with efforts from Michael Shank Racing (Honda) and Krohn Racing (Judd).

Tequila Patron ESM, meanwhile, will debut the new HPD ARX-04b Honda alongside Mazda’s ever-improving diesel-powered SKYACTIV-D prototypes, as well as the DeltaWing, which also showed improved pace at last weekend’s Roar Before the Rolex 24.

There are no further additions to the driver lineups in the P class, with only one TBA seat still left to be filled in the No. 66 RG Racing Riley-BMW Dinan.

Prototype Challenge will feature an eight-car entry, with the majority of the teams having already confirmed its lineups as well.

Of note, Martin Plowman is listed in both BAR1 Motorsports Oreca FLM09s, while Tom Kimber-Smith has been confirmed as the fourth driver for PR1/Mathiasen Motorsports’ effort alongside Mike Guasch, Andrew Novich and Andrew Palmer.

Additionally, Gustavo Menezes will complete RSR Racing’s lineup in the team’s solo entry this year.

A total of ten entries make up the GT Le Mans class, which features factory involvement from Corvette, Porsche, BMW, Aston Martin and Ferrari.

Defending FIA WEC GTE-Pro champions Gianmaria Bruni and Toni Vilander are confirmed in the No. 51 AF Corse Ferrari F458 Italia, while Aston Martin Racing factory driver Stefan Muecke has been added to the No. 98 AMR entry as a fifth driver.

The GT Daytona class, meanwhile, sees a 19-car entry and an equal amount of diversity in the production-based ranks.

Riley Motorsports has confirmed the driver pairings for its pair of Dodge Viper SRT GT3-Rs, with Jeroen Bleekemolen and Ben Keating being joined by Al Carter, Marc Goossens and Sebastiaan Bleekemolen in the No. 33 car, and Dominik Farnbacher, Kuno Wittmer and Cameron Lawrence joining Keating and Carter in the No. 93 entry.

TRG-AMR has confirmed Derek DeBoer and Max Riddle to the No. 009 Aston Martin Vantage V12, while Andrea Bertolini will join Scuderia Corsa’s Brazilian-backed No. 64 Ferrari.

Roar pace-setters Konrad Motorsport will feature a five-driver lineup in its No. 28 Porsche 911 GT America, with Lance Willsey joining Rolf Ineichen, Klaus Bachler, Christopher Zoechling and Christian Engelhart.

Additionally, the majority of Muelhner Motorsports’ lineup has also been finalized, with Connor De Phillippi and Matteo Beretta listed in both Porsches. They’re joined by Darryl O’Young and Marc Basseng (No. 18) and Jim Michaelian (No. 19).

Official practice gets underway on Thurs. Jan. 22, with the twice-around-the-clock endurance classic taking the green flag Saturday at 2:10 p.m. ET, live on FOX.
