Triple IndyCar champion Scott Dixon is highly likely to spearhead the Chip Ganassi attack at Le Mans next year.

Speaking to Motorsport.com, Chip Ganassi refused to comment directly but stated that Dixon was one of many current Ganassi stable driver.

“I will be asked this question a million times, won’t I,” Ganassi said.

“All I can say is that if he wants to do it then he’s pretty high on the list but we won’t announce anything for a while.”

Motorsport.com understands that Dixon could test the car as early as this summer before the car is homologated on September 15th at the Michelin test facility in Ladoux, France.

Dixon’s manager Stefan Johansson, who won Le Mans in 1997, is in attendance at Le Mans this week and has been seen in discussion with Ganassi and senior Ford officials this week.
