Kiwi karter Marcus Armstrong has enjoyed another strong showing in Italy, storming to a fourth place finish in the KF2 class at the big WSK Gold Cup meeting at Adria.
Fresh from a standout second place in the KF2 class at the Winter Cup meeting at Lonato the weekend before, the 14-year-old from Christchurch qualified 12th then had a 10-6-8 run through the heats before a sixth in the Pre Final and storming fourth in the Final.
“Close to a podium but the pace is there to have another crack next weekend at the first round of the WSK Super Master Series,” Armstrong said afterwards.
The Final was won by Karol Basz from Poland with Armstrong’s Danish teammate Nicklas Nielsen second and Martijn Van Leeuwen from the Netherlands third.
