Greg Murphy was out with Louis at Canterbury’s Ruapuna Raceway where the full-sized, 3.3km track dwarfed the mini-racer.
But what Louis lacks in size, the speedster makes up for in potential – a young prospect that Tony Gosling from Stadium Motorsport now sponsors.
Louis’ new sponsors are hoping to get him to England to compete in a race sponsored by some of the biggest brands in motorsport, Red Bull and Williams to name a few.
“It’s exciting and hopefully if I win it I might be looking to get into Formula 1,” Louis said.
And Murphy believes he has what it takes.
“We come from a little country that delivers an incredible level of talent and a pool that I think per capita that is way beyond many other larger countries.”
But for now, Louis just makes sure if he wins a race, like the Formula 1 drivers do, he thanks his sponsors.
