The Leadfoot Festival at Rod Millen’s Leadfoot Ranch in Hahai is set to bring another unique weekend of classic cars, vintage motorcycles and motorsport legends competing to be the fastest up the Leadfoot hill climb.
The 60 hectare, ocean-front estate in the Coromandel features a 1.6km driveway that winds through the property and is designed to be the perfect hill climb. Guests will be given one of a kind experience featuring unparallelled access to the drivers, pits and race cars.
The selection of machinery on Leadfoot Ranch will include a spectacular array of the world’s finest competition cars and motorcycles – from classic formula and road race cars to off-road machines and motorcycles.
Millen personally selects championship racers from around the world to receive the coveted invitation to participate in the Leadfoot Festival.
The Leadfoot Festival takes place over Waitangi weekend, with gates open from 7:30am.
Racing action starts at 8:30am and finishes at 5:30pm on Friday and Saturday. On Sunday racing action starts at 8:30am, finishes at 1:30pm with two top-10 shootouts to finish the event. Awards given out at 3pm at the Mobil Gas Station on the Ranch.
Food, craft beers and wines are on offer this year while on Friday and Saturday nights there will offer entertainment for the general public. On Friday night, The Monroe’s are in action, a crowd favourite at previous Leadfoot Festivals. Saturday night offers Catch 22, a fantastic rock and roll band that has a great following. Concerts start at 7:00pm and finish at 10:00pm.
