The CRC Speedshow is now enjoying the style, verve and economy of their new Peugeot show cars, thanks to a new partnership with Peugeot New Zealand.
The latest model Peugeot 208 GTi, the company’s modern incarnation of the legendary 205 GTi, the original ‘hot hatch’, and a Peugeot 2008 Crossover, described as an elegant, mini SUV, are now sporting striking CRC Speedshow liveries.
The two black Peugeots with their unmistakable red, orange and gold CRC Speedshow branding are the perfect mobile billboards, says CRC Speedshow director Ross Prevette.
Prevette describes the Peugeot 208 GTi as “one seriously cool car to drive”.
“It’s making the trips between our hometown of Whakatane and appointments with exhibitors around the wider Auckland and Waikato regions a lot more fun, that’s for sure,” Prevette says.
As part of the partnership agreement, Peugeot, a division of Sime Darby Automobiles NZ Ltd, will return to CRC Speedshow in 2015 with a comprehensive display of their increasingly-popular new car range.
“We’re absolutely delighted to have Peugeot partner with CRC Speedshow to profile both brands in the competitive new car sector. A stylish, award-winning and attractively-priced European marque like Peugeot is now perfectly positioned to showcase their model line-up to the tens of thousands of automotive fans – young and not so young, families, friends and couples – expected at the 18-19 July edition of this year’s show.”
Grant Smith, general manager of Sime Darby Automobiles NZ Ltd, is looking forward to showcasing the Peugeot range at the ninth edition of CRC Speedshow.
“Peugeot has an amazing range of models, including the 2014 European Car of the Year Peugeot 308,” Smith says. “We are delighted that the public attending CRC Speedshow have the opportunity to learn more about the Peugeot range which is going from strength to strength in New Zealand. We think many will be interested to see the line-up of modern and retro-inspired Peugeot scooters now on sale in New Zealand which perfectly complement our stylish Peugeot cars and practical commercial vans.”
A fun ‘spot the Speedshow Peugeot’ competition gets underway soon with show fans taking a photograph of themselves with one of the Speedshow Peugeots, and tag with the hashtag #speedshowpeugeot on CRC Speedshow’s Facebook page (www.Facebook.com/speedshownz) with the selected winners earning themselves free tickets to this year’s show, Peugeot merchandise and CRC gift vouchers.
