The Fujitsu Racing Falcon that Renee Gracie will race in this year’s V8 Supercars Dunlop Series has been unveiled.
Run by Paul Morris Motorsports, Gracie’s Fujitsu Racing Falcon represents a dynamic visual shift from the stealth-like black liveries Gracie raced with in Porsche Carrera Cup.
The Triple Eight Race Engineering-built FG Falcon features a special Fujitsu magenta colour mix blended by Protec Paints, and complemented by a bold series of black accents.
As previously confirmed, Fujitsu General returns as the naming rights sponsor of Gracie’s program following two seasons in Porsche Carrera Cup.
The 20-year-old’s exciting progression to the Dunlop Series marks a five-year journey made possible by Australia’s leading Air Conditioning brand, which supported Gracie in the Fujitsu ‘Cool’ Driver Program since 2011.
“I’ve been seeing the designs of my V8 Supercar for a few months now and to see it finally come to life is a special feeling. It’s the last step to remind me that this is real now, that I will be on the Dunlop Series grid at the Clipsal 500.
“I love my new colours – the magenta is striking and feminine and I don’t think many people will have trouble picking my car out on the track.”
“Fujitsu have a great history of different colours and liveries in V8 Supercars, and it’s fantastic that they are a brand always willing to try something different – I’ve had matte black and fluoro pink, carbon black and rocket red, and now magenta and gloss black … it looks very cool.”
“I’m honoured to have the continued support of Fujitsu and all of my valued sponsors, most of which have been with me for two or three seasons now. Each one of them has made this happen, and I hope I can reward their support this year.”
Century 21, the world’s largest real estate sales organisation, has extended its major sponsorship of Gracie and will continue to utilise the Queenslander as the ‘faster’ element of its ‘Smarter, Bolder, Faster’ brand campaign.
Rain-X, the world leader in automotive aftermarket glass care, has also increased its support, while global FMCG market-leader BIC, Amadio Wines and Bremtec – a brand of Brake Friction Australia – all enter a third consecutive season partnering Gracie.
Announced last week, Caltex Australia has become the latest industry-leading, multi-national brand to align with the first female, full-time V8 Supercar driver in 14 years.
Gracie will step up pre-season preparations with a final test day at Queensland Raceway on Monday, ahead of her Dunlop Series debut at the Clipsal 500 Adelaide from February 26.
