Shane van Gisbergen’s V8 Supercars title defence has been given a spruce up with a new team name and new matte livery on his car.
Triple Eight Race Engineering will now be known as the Red Bull Holden Racing Team.
The team is a combination of Triple Eight, Holden and Red Bull.
van Gisbergen and six-time Supercars champion Jamie Whincup will drive for the team in 2017.
Red Bull and Holden branding features prominently on newly designed car which has been finished off with a matte finish rather than the typical gloss.
van Gisbergen said the changes were exciting.
“This year’s livery is great, and I think it’s a fresh feel for the team, I can’t wait to see how it looks on track,” he told Supercars.com.
The V8 Supercars season gets underway at the Clipsal 500 in Adelaide on March 2-5.
