Following the successful partnership established during 2013, Gull New Zealand has confirmed a new three year sponsorship of the BNT V8 SuperTourers, New Zealand’s premier motor racing category and the headline act in the Hankook Super Series.

Gull’s long term commitment is further evidence of the success the category, which boasts 20 V8 Supercar drivers, is enjoying in just its second year.
Mike Marsden, General Manager Sales & Marketing of BNT V8 SuperTourers says the partnership has been a huge success and Gull’s extended commitment reflects its confidence in the fledgling series’ long term prospects.

Gull will provide the fuel force behind the V8 SuperTourers cars – Gull Force 10 – until the end of 2016.

“We are thrilled to be working with Gull again and their decision to partner with us for the next three years clearly indicates the value proposition that BNT V8 SuperTourers presents for major New Zealand corporates.

“Kiwis love motorsport, particularly V8 racing of this calibre, and with the support of all of our sponsors, we will continue to build upon the success V8 SuperTourers has achieved over a short period of time.

“The competition is attracting a large number of big name drivers from New Zealand and Australia and we hope to be able to continue to appeal to those drivers over the next few years,” says Marsden.

Gull has operated successfully in New Zealand for over ten years, offering Kiwis discounted fuel as well as being the first oil company to bring a biofuel to market in New Zealand with Gull Force 10 – the fuel providing the grunt behind the BNT V8 SuperTourers.

Ulrik Olsen, Commercial Manager of Gull New Zealand Limited says Gull is honoured to be able to provide BNT V8 SuperTourers with high quality and powerful fuel solution for another three years.

“Gull is proud to be able to offer BNT V8 SuperTourers a fuel option that not only meets the high performance needs required by the cars, but Gull Force 10 emits up to 8 per cent less carbon dioxide than other high octane petrol making it an environmentally friendly fuel alternative.

“At Gull, it’s always been our priority to offer Kiwi motorists the highest quality fuel for the best value and our partnership with BNT V8 SuperTourers is a true testament to the performance and quality of our fuel,” says Olsen.
