Eddie Jordan, Matt Le Blanc complete new Top Gear line up

Long-time Formula 1 team boss Eddie Jordan will be part of the presenter line-up for the BBC’s new incarnation of Top Gear.

Jordan had been a pundit on the broadcaster’s F1 coverage from 2009 to the end of last season, after which the BBC pulled out of the remainder of its deal.

Channel 4 stepped in as F1’s UK free-to-air station.

Jordan will be one of two motorsport figures in the Chris Evans-fronted Top Gear line-up, joined by sportscar racer and Nurburgring Nordschleife specialist Sabine Schmitz.

Jordan said: “I have such enormous respect for all my fellow presenters and I politely ask that they go easy on these old bones.”

The Top Gear presenter line-up is completed by actor Matt LeBlanc and journalists Chris Harris and Rory Reid.

The new-look show makes its debut in May.

David Coulthard is so far the only member of the BBC F1 team who has been confirmed as part of the Channel 4 line-up.
