Racetech Manufacturing Limited, the New Zealand-based designer and manufacturer of some of the world’s safest and most innovative race seats, has opened a subsidiary in the USA based in Mooresville, North Carolina.

A world-wide exporter of FIA-approved seats and associated safety products, Racetech Manufacturing has established a well-regarded presence in the US market over the past 12 years.

David Black, managing director of Racetech Manufacturing and president of the newly-established Racetech USA Ltd, says: “We have strong commercial relationships direct with OEM vehicle manufacturers and we also distributed our range of race seats and other product through various distributors, the latest being RT North America Ltd based in Sparks, NV.  This distribution relationship was terminated at the end of 2012 and the new subsidiary established to enable our US business to grow further.”

Racetech USA Limited has been incorporated in Mooresville, NC and a new warehouse and sales facility is currently in development.

Black says: “We decided to establish this new warehouse and sales facility in Mooresville based on its proximity to the majority of the racing population of USA and the strong motorsport and racing community in the area.

“We are also pleased to advise that Brian Oleshak, who has been the national sales manager at Racetech North America, has now been appointed in a similar role with Racetech USA Ltd. Brian will soon relocate his family to North Carolina and, with the support of our entire Racetech team in New Zealand, is sure to continue his excellent work with race teams and vehicle manufacturers across the US.

Black says that Oleshak has strong product knowledge of the Racetech range of race seats which are used in many forms of motorsport such as drag racing, ALMS, World Challenge, Grand Am, V8 Supercars, drifting, autocross, dessert trucks, jet sprint boats, sprint cars, offshore power boats and rallying.

“Brian has played an important part in developing the brand in the US market since 2003. This is a very exciting time for Racetech as we commit further to what has been an important market for our brand.

Black adds: “Most seat and harness models are currently available for our US customers and they’re invited to contact Brian directly on (775) 790-1577 or brian@nullracetech-usa.com. A shipping container of new stock is on the water now and due to arrive in Mooresville at the end of January 2013.”

Racetech’s composite and carbon fibre race seats fitted to thousands of race cars such as V8Supercars, WRC cars, and touring, drift, drag and speedway cars all over the world. Racetech has worked, and continues to work with the Federation Internationale De L’Automobile (FIA) on numerous development and testing projects, and its design team is regularly consulted by national motorsport organisations regarding appropriate technical standards and improved safety within race cars.  The design, testing, manufacture and sale of the comprehensive range of Racetech race seats forms the heart of the business, which also distributes and sells numerous other top class race products in New Zealand, Australia, Japan, South Africa, the US and other markets.
