Fortec Motorsports is sending two of their Formula 3 drivers to compete in the 2013 New Zealand based Toyota Racing Series (TRS).

2012 British F3 drivers Felix Serralles and Pipo Derani will be contending the championship. Fortec engineers Andi Scott and Mick Kouros will be traveling with the pair and supporting them throughout.

Felix competed in the TRS at the start of 2012 and his time learning and staying race fit was evident in his British Formula 3 campaign. The young Puerto-Rican was fighting for the title up to the last race in his rookie season and eventually finished in third place.

Pipo Derani is joining Felix to see if he can also benefit in the way that Felix did at the start of 2012. Pipo has been team-mate to Serralles this year with Fortec and showed great pace throughout the season.

Mick Kouros, Fortec senior race engineer and Formula 3 team manager is a strong believer in what TRS has to offer for all levels of drivers, and has been sending drivers down for many years seeing the benefits many times over.

Kouros believes that “this is the best training camp that you could possibly attend to help with becoming a professional driver and achieving the best result for any championship into a new season.”
