Mayhem at Pukekohe round three cost young Whitehaven Wines driver Richard Moore serious points. After losing the driveshaft, wheel and most of the side panels M3 Racing’s Team have the Holden raring to build up points again.

The extended mid season has seen a number of teams making a huge effort in repairs after Pukekohe’s carnage and Moore is chasing good clean racing at Taupo.

Like many drivers Moore will be looking forward to sensible officialdom to support a great spectacle. “This is a hard track to pass on but that doesn’t mean you have to drive like an idiot. Skill not stupidity is what we are want the fans to enjoy”  Moore added “Previous encounters here have left a lot to be desired, I am older and wiser now so hopefully won’t have to take to much into my own hands”

Moore has a 292 point deficit over Tasman Racing’s Daniel Gaunt which is doable but has a long reach to team mate Greg Murphy’s commanding 1840 total.

“We are 5th in the series and back at a track I have fond memories of so it’s going to be all on this weekend” Moore added. “I have been racing here since I was 14, starting with a pole position in the BMW Mini series so putting some heat into Taupo has always been fun”.

Moore will be joined in the upcoming Endurance series starting late September by V8Supercars  Erebus Racing front runner Tim Slade.

Live Streaming will be tested again this weekend and full delayed television coverage of the Brother 350 Pukekohe round is played on TV 3 Sunday 8 September with live coverage returning for the Endurance rounds.
