Driver changes key for Moore and Slade

Three races, three driver changes, three rounds – Driver changes will be the real game changer for the Slade/Moore combo in the BNT Endurance rounds.

Kicking off at Hampton Downs 28/29 September M3 Racings Richard Moore understands how crucial the co driver changeover is “Last season we often gained 2-3 places in the pits” Moore added “2012’s  third overall with Owen Kelly was not just about great driving, the pit stops are key and I have no doubt it will be way tougher this season”

Co-driver Tim Slade is looking forward to the Kiwi experience and agrees 100%. “With the emphasis on driver changes rather than refuelling the pressure is all on the wheelmen to make the mandatory stop perfect”

The Erebus Motorsport star joins the New Zealand V8Supercar rounds with a bevvy of drivers crossing the Tasman to feature in co-driver duties including Chaz Mostert, Jack Perkins and Lee Holdsworth and all of whom bring a wealth of experience to arguably one of the most talented fields the country has ever seen.

The first of the three endurance rounds combines 150 laps with a starter of 38 on Saturday and then two 56 lappers on Sunday. In race one each driver must complete a minimum of 17 laps, race 2 and 3 a minimum of 26 laps each. The sleepy Waikato Hampton Downs track will deliver a good 80 minutes apiece over the 2.7km track in the longer races and fans can also lap up the support races.

The M3 Racing Mark Cromie backed Commodore showcases new naming rights sponsor Kellands Real Estate for the inaugural round with follow ups again at Hampton on 20 October and Pukekohe 1 December. Moore is currently 6th with teammate Greg Murphy leading the overall series at round four.
