M3 Racing have today confirmed that Whangarei racer Scott Harrison will co-drive with regular V8 SuperTourer racer Paul Manuell in the Orix Holden V8ST at Taupo for the forthcoming Fathers’ Day 400, with the experienced John Penny then taking the seat for the final two enduro races in the inaugural championship at Pukekohe and Ruapuna.

Up and coming star Harrison first made a name for himself in the Suzuki Swift Cup, and his performance in 2009/2010 led to a drive in a Porsche 997 in which he also impressed. The youngster is said to be ecstatic at securing the opportunity and will be in the car for testing on August 16th.

Overseas commitments prevented Penny from racing in all three enduros, but he will take the co-driver seat for the Pukekohe 500 over the weekend of October 26-28 and Ruapuna on November 24 and 25. He has already completed a test for M3 Racing in the ORIX Holden and is excited about racing the car.

“The test at Pukekohe has got me all fired up, there’s no doubt about that,” explained Penny. “The car is incredible to drive and is a credit to the team and from a driver’s point of view ,what a field to be racing in. Everyone will have seen it getting close to the pace as the sprint series progressed and we are optimistic we can put on a great show at Pukekohe and Ruapuna and what a field to be racing in, these cars are amazing.”

M3 Racing is currently busy preparing all three of its V8 SuperTourers for Manuell, Greg Murphy and Richard Moore.
