DJR Team Penske has announced MAN Truck & Bus as naming rights partner at the Sydney Motorsport Park SuperSprint this weekend.

Revealing a striking black and silver livery, the MAN partnership continues the unique to V8 Supercars strategy of rolling sponsorship in 2015.

“Once again, DJR Team Penske will highlight one of the major Penske brands with primary sponsorship of the #17 Ford Falcon at the next round of the V8 Supercars Championship,” DJR Team Penske Managing Director Ryan Story said.

“MAN Trucks is the brand of choice for the team and the graphics and design of the car will deliver a very impactful look on track.”

President of Penske Transportation Group International Randall Seymore was pleased to use V8 Supercars to showcase the brand.

“This is the third brand in the Penske group to take a naming rights position with the DJR Team Penske Falcon,” Seymore said.

“The MAN Truck & Bus range is a leader in Australia and the ability for us to showcase the brand on the V8 Supercar will be a highlight for 2015.

“Our guests and staff are very engaged with the race team and we will be welcoming our MAN customers to Sydney Motorsport Park this weekend.

“The MAN TGX 26-530 is used by the racing team to haul the equipment and race cars around the country for the V8 Supercar Championship, so this is a great connection.”

Story added that the rolling sponsorship this season – meaning livery changes across the year – has been well received.

“The response to our livery changes from the fans and customers has been fantastic this year and I’m sure the MAN livery will create a lot of interest in Sydney,” he said.

“This has become an important part of our team’s marketing strategy.”

Scott Pye will continue driving duties this weekend at what is the final sprint event before the PIRTEK Enduro Cup, with Marcos Ambrose set to run in the Friday additional driver only session at Sydney Motorsport Park.
