Erebus Motorsport has today proudly unveiled a striking new Team Beko livery for Will Davison’s #9 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG ahead of the highly anticipated Pirtek Enduro Cup at Sandown, Bathurst and the Gold Coast.
Officially unveiled at the team’s Test Day at Queensland Raceway this morning, the new Erebus Team Beko livery features enhanced blue highlights on the rear quarter, boot and front bar as well as a Nascar-style #9 on the roof.
Coinciding with the new livery design, existing partner Beko Australia and New Zealand has enhanced its commercial agreement with the team as part of the public launch of a new company logo which will feature in prominent positions on the #9 car and team apparel for the remainder of the year.
The #9 car, to be driven by highly credentialed brother pairing Will and Alex Davison during the enduros, will be referred to as Erebus Team Beko for the remainder of the year.
“There’s an increased level of excitement around the enduro phase of our year so we wanted to meet that with a different look to capture that enthusiasm, additionally with our valued partners Beko also introducing a new logo to the marketplace, we saw it as a great opportunity to incorporate both into a new design,’’ said Ereus Motorsport CEO Ryan Maddison.
“Beko has been great supporters of Erebus Motorsport since late 2012 and the Beko brand is performing very well internationally so it is extremely pleasing that they have taken a strategic step in their partnership with the team to the next level for the remainder of the year.
“Last year our team’s best results were achieved during the endurance series and given the improvements we have made during the first half of this year, we are motivated in the prospects of what lies ahead over the coming months.’’
Beko Australia and New Zealand Managing Director Michael Goadby said Beko was excited to be launching its new logo to an estimated television audience of 8 million viewers for the remaining five V8 Supercars Championship events.
“As part of our existing partnership with Erebus Motorsport, we had always planned to have more of a brand presence around the endurance series,’’ said Goadby.
“Our new logo represents a new identity for Beko and this is the perfect way to showcase that.
“We love being a part of high profile events and we’re excited about the remainder of the year with Erebus.’’
Beko is the first choice of 440 million consumers in more than 100 countries. A successful global brand, Beko set out in the early 90s with one goal in mind: Provide Smart Solutions to improve the daily lives of customers.
