Lucas Dumbrell Motorsport has today revealed the newly backed SP Tools Holden Commodores, piloted by Nick Percat and Andre Heimgartner. The team will run both cars in matching livery at today’s Winton test.

It is the first year the Melbourne based team has had identical liveries and supporters will have an opportunity to see the cars on display around the streets of Adelaide at the V8 Supercars opener, the Clipsal 500, running from March 3 to 6.

Supercheap Auto Bathurst 1000 winner Nick Percat admits he is looking forward to having the Queensland based company as naming rights on the two Holden Commodores at his home town in Adelaide.

“I’m super excited to have SP Tools on-board for the Clipsal 500. I haven’t worked with them since 2014, so I’m really looking forward to it,” said Percat.

“I think the design looks great and it’s exciting to have two cars that look the same. It’s the first time for LDM.”

Repair Management Australia will also continues it’s backing with the team, although downsizing it’s involvement to last year.

“It’s good to have Repair Management Australia back on with us again this year too,” said Percat.

“It was great having Phil involved with the team last season and I look forward to the continued relationship with him.”

Kiwi rookie, Andre Heimgartner who will pilot the #3 SP Tools Commodore, admits he is enjoying his fresh new start to the 2016 season.

“It’s really cool to have SP Tools on board. They are a familiar company that has been up and down pit lane in the past and for them to now be involved with LDM, proves that this team is really moving forward,” said Heimgartner.

“Hopefully we can represent SP Tools well on the track and I’m really looking forward to getting back behind the wheel.”

The LDM crew is at Winton Raceway today to shake down its two V8 Supercars alongside their Dunlop Series entry, piloted by young gun Alex Rullo.
