The provisional V8 SuperTourer calendar for 2013 has been announced and the season will once again include three ‘sprint’ rounds and three ‘enduro’ rounds.

Round 1 will be at the Hampton Downs circuit – where significant work to develop and complete the track is already underway – over the weekend of 16 and 17 of February. This is the corresponding weekend of the series’ first ever event earlier this year.

Round 2 again heads to the Powerbuilt Raceway, Ruapuna for the series’ first of two visits to the South Island. The meeting will again be held over two days – March 9 and 10.

The calendar includes a May 11 date for a special event in Auckland – details of which will be revealed nearer the time. The winter gap between that round – Round 3 – and the first round of the endurance portion of the series also allows provision for an international event.

Round 4 – the first enduro – takes place at Taupo over the weekend of October 19 and 20.

Round 5 will definitely be on the South Island on November 9 and 10. The venue for the race is still to be confirmed.

The season will conclude at Pukekohe with the SuperTourers Grand Finale on December 6, 7 and 8.

ROUND FIVE: South Island, November 9/10, 2013.
ROUND SIX: Grand Final Pukekohe, 6/7/8 December, 2013
