Tasman Motorsports Group (TMG) has launched details of its campaign for the 2013 BNT V8 SuperTourer Championship.

In 2013 TMG will again enjoy support from naming rights sponsor Valvoline.

Valvoline New Zealand General Manager, David Olliff says Valvoline is pleased to be partnering with TMG again as naming rights sponsor.

“Partnering with Steve Horne and the TMG team provides some continuity for our brand. TMG quickly demonstrated themselves as a very professional operation and perfect brand ambassadors for Valvoline last year and we’re excited to hit the track again with them in 2013.”

Autotrader.co.nz will again support the #31 Valvoline Falcon and TMG will also welcome onboard two new partners in IVECO Trucks and Midas.

TMG Team Principal Steve Horne says he is elated to bring two new and significant global brands onboard with Tasman.

“Both IVECO & Midas have a heritage in motorsport globally and we are delighted to be able to represent them here in New Zealand as we compete in the 2013 BNT V8 SuperTourer Championship.”

“Whilst they are not new to motorsport, they are new to the V8 SuperTourers and will both be a very welcome addition to our current partners of Valvoline & Autotrader.co.nz.”

Horne has re-signed both of his 2012 drivers, Daniel Gaunt & Andrew Waite and has elected to split the four sprint rounds between the two drivers.

“I think we demonstrated quickly last year, that we have the ability to run at the front,” says Horne.

“We’ll be looking for some strong performances early this season, which will give us ideal preparation for when the enduro championship kicks off.”

“I expect Daniel Gaunt to be on the pace from Round 1 and challenging for podiums again. Andrew Waite did three races with us last year and did everything we asked of him. He quickly demonstrated he is a capable and talented driver and deserves to be in V8 SuperTourers, some extra race miles in the sprint rounds will give him further confidence in the car come enduro time.”
