Holdsorth signs on with Edgell for V8ST Enduros

V8 SuperTourers

Winning Australian V8Supercar driver Lee Holdsworth is to co-drive the Chesters Holden V8ST entry along side regular team driver Tim Edgell in the upcoming V8 SuperTourers endurance series that starts at Hampton Downs 28 September.

Holdsworth, who won his first V8 Supercar race in 2007, says he’s looking forward his SuperTourer debut with the Chesters Team.

“Tim Edgell and I are about the same weight and height which is always a good thing in being comfortable in the car.

“Ross Stone, who is an old mate of Randell Edgell, who runs the Chesters Team, was very complimentary about Randell’s car preparation and expertise, which is also very encouraging. I also like the fact that all the drivers have equal equipment and it’s down to the team and the driver’s as to how they get the most out of what they have”.

Tim Edgell said, “Lee is a very experienced and highly rated V8 Supercar driver so he ticked all the boxes with our stake holders, Ross Tebbs, Chesters, BNT, and of course Fuchs Oils who also sponsor Lee’s Irwin Tools V8SC AMG Mercedes Benz car, so really it’s a great fit, and Edgell Performance Racing could not be more happy with the way its all turned out”.
