All-Factory Lineup for “All Black” Earl Bamber Motorsport Porsches

Earl Bamber Motorsport will make its GT3 debut with a lineup comprised of all Porsche factory or Young Professional drivers in next month’s Liqui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour.

The Asian-based team will field two previous-generation Porsche 911 GT3 Rs for the German manufacturer’s full-season Intercontinental GT Challenge roster of Romain Dumas, Mathieu Jaminet, Sven Mueller (No. 911) and Dirk Werner, Matt Campbell and Dennis Olsen (No. 912).

Porsche Young Professionals Jaminet and Olsen, along with former Porsche Supercup champion Mueller, meanwhile, are set for their Bathurst debuts.

The announcement came Friday at the Porsche Experience Center in Shanghai, with confirmation of Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific’s support in the program as well.

As reported by Sportscar365 last month, two-time 24 Hours of Le Mans winner Bamber will not be part of the lineup, as the Kiwi focuses his attention on team management duties.

The recently-formed EBM squad took part in Porsche Carrera Cup Asia last year, while also making a one-off appearance in the Asian Le Mans Series with one of its Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars.

To commemorate the team’s long-distance endurance racing debut, the pair of Porsches will run special liveries paying homage to the Bamber’s homeland of New Zealand.

A total of four GT3-spec Porsches will be on the grid at Mt. Panorama, with entries from Black Swan Racing and Competition Motorsports, in what will mark the car’s final professional outing.

Despite rolling out the all-new Porsche 911 GT3 R one week earlier at the Rolex 24 at Daytona, the event prohibits any new cars or Evos that have not yet completed SRO’s Balance of Performance testing.

“This car has underlined its potential impressively, achieving many successes on different racetracks,” said Head of Porsche Motorsport Fritz Enzinger.

“With our strong driver crews and the well-structured, regional teams, we should be well positioned to take on the tough fight against many other brands.”
